These knife-rests in rye are unique pieces of art designed by Emma Bruschi for the first edition of Porte-Couteaux Sensibles. They add a dash of charm while safeguarding your tablecloth from culinary chaos.
Fond of this forgotten element of the table that is the knife-rest, Sarah wanted to give free rein to the imagination and know-how of these artists, so that they take over this slightly obsolete object and offer it a new recognition.
Emma is a 2019 graduate of Geneva University of Art and Design (HEAD), won the 19M Prix des Métiers d’art de Chanel at the 35th International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories – Hyères 2020 with her Almanach collection. Her work, inspired by rural life and traditional craftsmanship, reflects a deliberate pace and a connection to raw materials. Since 2021, she's been cultivating rye on her family's farm, using it in her creations, merging the roles of farmer and designer.
