The Kimono-Curtain

The Kimono-Curtain

With her Kimono-Curtain, Sarah transforms windows into elegantly draped silhouettes. Inspired by Noren, traditional japanese curtains and first unveiled in A Well-Dressed Apartment exhibition, this piece reimagines the kimono as a textile for interiors.

The kimono is crafted from a patchwork of fabrics, inspired from the korean bojagi technique. It combines clean lines with fluid, flowing panels.

Hanging Advice

Use 9 ring clips for a perfect fall. You can let the curtains hover just above the floor for a 'hanging garment' effect or allow them to pool gracefully for a more fluid, flowing look.
